For ease of communication, it's recommended that you do not use "internet
shortcuts" such as "g2g", "4", "R", "U",
etc., especially if you're looking to communicate with the ops. Many of the
channel regulars are older folks, and would appreciate being able to understand
what you are saying.

on IRC networks.
Step One: Download

(Windows) If you right-click and "save as", then select your desktop
out of the pulldown location list, you'll be able to find it easier when
you go to install it.
Step Two: Install
Step Three: Getting Online With mIRC
1) Go under FILE --> SETUP
for the mIRC setup screen
2) Click on the IRC SERVERS tab
3) Choose RANDOM US DALNET SERVER from the
dropdown menu
4) Enter name & email, and primary/alternate IRC nicks you want to use
5) Click back to IRC SERVERS tab and click
CONNECT TO IRC SERVER
6) An MIRC CHANNELS FOLDER will appear
7) Type #SANGUINARIUS in the box, click ADD,
then click JOIN
If the MIRC CHANNELS FOLDER does not appear,
just type /join #Sanguinarius in the text
field at the bottom of the status window, after logging into the server
is complete.
A window will appear, titled #Sanguinarius, and will also display the channel
topic. Read this topic and the channel rules so
you know what to expect. You're now there! Start chatting!
(If you are still having trouble connecting to #Sanguinarius once mIRC is
installed, try the visual tutorial for setting
up the DALnet connection.)
