Step
One:
Select #sang-nickhelp from the channel pull-down menu. This
will get you online in IRC so that you can continue with the
rest of the steps.

Two:
Change your nick to the nick you want to use - you cannot
register a nick you are not curently using.
/nick
nick-you-want-to-use
** Watch for messages that indicate the nick is already
taken, in use, etc.
** If your chosen nick is already taken, choose another
nick
Step
Three:
Please be sure you are using a WORKING email address!
Enter the following command:
/msg
nickserv@services.dal.net REGISTER your-password
your-email
Step
Four:
Wait for a verification
email to arrive from Dalnet to your email. If you don't see
it in your inbox, check the spam folder - it should arrive
within 72 hours.
Step
Five:
Follow the instructions
in the email as soon as it arrives.
Step
One:
When you next log in, make sure your nick is set to the registered
nick:
/nick
your-registered-nick
Step
Two:
Identify to your nick with the following command:
/msg
nickserv@services.dal.net IDENTIFY
your-password
Step
Three:
Join #sanguinarius as normal. You're all set!
